At Friday’s 48th Annual Medical Student Research Day, Dr. Arlene Drack received the Outstanding Mentor in Translational Research award. Dr. Drack was nominated by Morgan Bertsch, M2 and recent summer fellow in Dr. Drack’s lab. She wrote:
“Dr. Drack takes clinical observations to the lab and then puts the results into publication and practice. While shadowing, students gain deeper understanding and meet the patients that inspire the research. [She] passed the spark of curiosity that drives her research to myself, and has given me the skills and connections necessary to explore these questions."
